Bottom Line!
Here it is guys. For the Bonny to stay alive here are my ingredients:
1) 300hp + 300lbs of torque (minimum standard)
2) 17 and or 18 inch chrome wheel packages
3) Continue dual exhaust
4) Carry over remaining items
The interior is fine: This is a Pontiac (excitement) not a Caddy (classy). The interior is refined enough without diving all in the soft luxury category. 300/300 is needed to keep the bonny alive. It will sell to young and old supporters. That will keep buyers happy at least for the remainder of the decade I believe. The GXP is a start in the right direction, but GM realistically only has another year or two to get it right for the bonny to stay in production from what I've heard. Opinions?

That is the GXP really. The HP # isn't a round 300, but it'* faster then the 300hp motor. After that'* had a few years, it'll have a change. It'* been rumored to be a RWD car, along the lines of the 300'* new chassis.

Mental
I almost agree, but the GXP doesn't offer chrome wheels. Chrome appeals to car buyers for $30k+ cars. Especially buyers under 50yrs old. 50yrs+ starts leading into Caddy land. 300/300 is a mental thing that will just keep buyers happy. That with performance oriented gearing/exhuast note, people will be more than satisfied and then you'll start seeing more GXP'* on the road. I live in Atlanta, GA and I have not seen a GXP yet other than car lots. Thats not too optimistic. I've seen about 15 or more Chrysler 300s now and a bunch of 04 Maximas. Thats disappointing because I believe that Pontiac is much better and that the bonny is a much better looking concept with way more potential to accompany the looks.

I do agree with you that Ponitac needs to put more HP in their engines.
I also agree that chrome rims should be an option.... mmm.. chrome.
And finally Jason has a good point... RWD would really kick *** in the Bonneville.
PS-I do miss the wood trim in the interior.... but brushed steel might look nice too.
