Default Rear Steer??? What'* that?

Just wondering: While I had the gauge cluster out of the '93 SSEi last weekend for repairs (and I swear I really do plan to post the diary of the work; I just haven't finished it yet), at one point I held the gauge faceplate up to the light to see all the different warning symbols printed on it, and one in the upper-right of the group caught my eye:

REAR
STEER

It was amber color, same as for minor malfunctions and such. The Service Manual doesn't say anything about this that I can find, and I don't remember seeing it in the gauge illustrations in the manual either.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Was that something they were going to add as an option, then abandoned it, or what?

If I do a complete spinout on the interstate and wind up facing the other way, does it light up?

That should answer your questions. You'll need to read the whole thread to get the full effect, and the bulk of it is humor.

It will answer your questions though

You should have waited until the first of next month to pull this! It would have made "good watchin'"
