Default what would be the same size?

Hey guys me and my friend was just wondering what other engine is the same size as the 3800 in a Se that would fit the car..He'* looking at getting a SE and putting in a different engine then the 3800 but doesn't want to have to do cosmetic work to the frame.

honestly he'starting out with one hell of a platform a engine swap is totally ludacris in his case for the amount of money he '* going to throw in for a motor and installation, fab work. he could buy a turbo kit and run high 13'* low 14'*. The usual dosent apply to GM FWD cars the 3800 is a great motor its just hindered by factory crap. W-H bodies are this w body cars are impala'* Grand prix, Intrigue, etc... the h-bodies are bonnievilles, Park ave, 98'* etc... tell your friend to research the performance sites im pretty sure that will change his mind

well on another note **** happens it could be anytime anywhere and if a problem hasnt been fixed correctly more problems arise alot of people will say the opposite of these cars alot will agree with you. Now say if were to swap in a.....3.4 DOHC or whatever engine ,dont you think he oculd still run into just as many problems with another engine? yep you bet and probably more headaches than you would ever have to deal with a 3800 that was designed for the car. then if something breaks ,parts are way more exspensive to deal with. and what problems did you have with your car?
