Most courts don't hear traffic violations at the same time as Criminal cases. They're usually dedicated traffic courts. DUI'* are different. That'* a criminal case usually.
You won't see any Rapists in traffic court, or at least none being charged for Rape there. Maybe a Rapist being charged with speeding, though

Jseabert followed this advice with a 96 in a 55 last year. He got a suspended sentence, no points, but if he even gets a parking ticket in that time period, all the charges are re-instated.
He also had a $180 fine, but the insuance wasn't notified as the charges were suspended for the 6-month probationary period.
It all depends on court procedures and the specific Judge that hears your plea.

I'll never plead guilty again, I found a great attorney, I went to court for 75 in 50 , the attorny was 200 cash, My case was called first and thrown out before I even got infornt of the judge, paid 75 cort cost and that'* it. He'* my new buddy, any body in IL need a good traffic layer, I got one.
Not sure about the points deal, IL dosen't use that system, it'* just 3 moving violations in a year and you loose your lisence, this was ticket #2 in one week, I needed to fight it to have some breathing room for the next 51 weeks of the year. Glad I won and got thrown out.

BB....it'* a simple speeding violation. He either paced you or nailed you on radar. Your odds of beating it are slim to none. Forget the lawyer, or you'll end up paying more in the long run.
You won't find a lawyer without paying through the nose up front. The only way to beat this is if the citing officer fails to show for the traffic hearing. Not likely.

Only way to "get off" is if the cop doesn't show. Otherwise you can try to fight things like the accuracy of the gun, when it was calibrated. But you'll most likely get it turned into a public nuiscance or disturbance citation if you're lucky, at which case you'll still have to pay, but your insurance doesn't hear about it.
Fact of the matter is, you did something stupid, and you'll have to pay. end of story, you don't get to go as fast as you please, and you don't know better then the authorities.
