Default I'm Cursed!

ACK! Friggin fruckin FRICK!

On my way to Rockford to get the bottle filled and a country road I take was recently repaved. Well today the center line was painted and for some homo erotic reason they set up cones every 10 meters so no one would drive over them. Well it was a windy day plus semi'* drive along this road like crazy so some of the cones were topped over. Anyway I'm following a fellow Bonnie and when he serves to avoid one of the god forsaken cones, I follow. Well this dodging happened for a good 5 miles when I see the guy in front swerve HARD right, so I follow in suit. FRIGGIN CONE AT 12 O' CLOCK!

*WACK!* *Rumble*........*THUD*... out the back.

Holy crap that did NOT sound good. I pull over and the friggin cone took a large area of paint off the very bottom of the NEWLY painted front bumper cover. Also a nice physical ripple in the paint where the cone first struck appear, surrounded by scuffs. What can I say...I'm PISSED!

Go after the county, which is responsible for repaving the road? Not a bad idea but those bastards would probably come after me issuing a ticket to ME for "neglectful driving".

Right when everything is going good on my car something bad always happens...I'm cursed I tell you!
I suppose I'm gonna have to go back to my body shop connections that do all my paint work...but I still gotta pay money I shouldn't have to pay. Damn nation.

Dude that sucks. That'* how I feel. I got my car back from the shop, and a month later my brother backed into it and caused $2000 in damage.

I wish I was where you are, I'd repaint it for ya.

realisticly you cant sue the county because the "cones were there for a reason" "you knew the lines were being painted" "was a construction zone" anything like that, they will dismiss blame for and put it back on you.. beleive me, i know........ ive had that experiance.. when i had my s10 i hit a HUGE pot hole and broke a rim.... they wouldnt pay or do anything.... i was pissed

Dude..I'd sue over a pot hole. I heard if one has been reported and called in, and is still not fixed, then you may get money if you damage your car..but I'm sure they'd find a way out, unless you got some good lawyer. I hope I never have that kind of bad luck.

But I swerve away from a twig in the road

Default um

road damage is covered by your insurance... but if you enter the office and your under 25 they will just give you a check and add X % to your next months payment.
ive heard in the states you guys have these massive hard plastic 9feet tall cones... you hit one of these or just a small one? Why where you following so close!-lol

We have normal cones....

Yeah you were following too closely then, and they'd tell you that.

To avoid hitting that cone I would have to be 1/4 mile away and go into the oncomming traffic lane or into the ditch on the right. Firedevil you're most likely right they would pass the blame on me, but when they say "the cones were there for a reason" it doesn't make sense because they were all over the damn road! (more venting)

It was like a damn autocross track out there. Bah, see its easy to say "I'll get the bottom of the bumper cover repainted through a friend"...but that takes 10 minutes of him asking "why did you hit a cone" and snickering at me, followed by weeks and weeks of him saying "yeah I can do it this weekend" then I get blown off and have the wait the never weekend...get blown off again, so on and so forth. Bleh, I really don't need this right now, too much going on.

*cracks fist into wall*

Yeah but the bumper cover is plastic, so it wont rust or anything. If you think yours looks bad go check out the bottom of mine... It'* BOLTED together, silly last owner.
