I've heard both sides of the story. Think about how many cars made through 1995 and after are STILL running just fine with Dexcool...many.

I think there is more to it than just the coolent turning to sludge by itself.

I noticed that in my car the coolant recovery tank is clear with bright fluid. In my wife'* its darkish with what appears to be sludge residue inside the tank. i was thinking of having hers flushed and redone even though its a 2000. My guess is that the previous owner ran it in a low coolant condition and thus caused the sludge like symptioms expressed in the article. Anybody else notice this?
