I'm REALLY babying this transmission. This isn't even a TGP 4t60HD, this is just a plain jane 4t60. I'm sure I'd be able to destroy a 28* 5spd. If I blow this trans... likely a F40 swap!

i don't know.... Kuntzie made ~700WHP before killing his 284, you could probably live with it....

6 nicely spaced gears are just fun though.

and if you do go F40, make documentation, LOTS of it, since i've been interested in the things ever since i saw the LS7 fiero hasn't killed one yet. and all of the W-body guys who HAVE swapped them(at least 1 1st gen and 1 2nd) in haven't made any pics to show what they did for mounts/etc, that'* about the only thing slowing me down.

Whatcha mean.. I saw a write up that showed all the brackets and stuff that was needed. A white GP.

that SOUNDS like gpchris'* car, LQ1 powered 96GP. i've searched nearly everywhere W-body related but could never find it....

Jon....I just called my buddy that has Dad'* car. It'* still on the lift. But the Envoy motor is in. Which means probably next week I'll be up there for that job.

Ever put a motor in an Envoy.. oh boy..lol
