supercharger oil
i want to change my supercharger oil for the first time. do you have to get the oil from g.m. or do autoparts stores carry it. any tips on draining it? havent looked at it yet as to how to drain it. owners manuel says to take it in to have it changed. I THINK NOT !! LOL thanks jim

2.) GM P/N: 10953513 SuperCharger Oil
3.) You best bet for changing it is going to be a turkey baseter or small suction pump.
There is no drainiage hole on the SC. Therefore sucking out the old fluid is the only way.

thanks deathrat. only have had car a couple of weeks. 81k on it and i have no idea when oil has been changed last. (if ever). looks clean but....................

I can't remember.....Sorry I've got a NA engine so I don't need the stuff! I'm sure though that someone else here can answer that question! Right Guys?

Gotcha. I changed mine for the first time right after I got the car at 70k miles.
Bubba, do exactly what the Rat said to get the oil There are 2 sources on the net for it, but by the time you pay shipping, it ain't worth it. They come in little bottles. About 10 bucks for 8 ounces, I think. Buy 2 or 3 bottles. No ****. You'll wanna flush it.
This procedure is for Series I (92-95), I don't know how much different the Eaton M90 is, so this is for the M62 (what year is your Bon?)
Pull the smaller of the two covers off the blower, on the pulley end of the supercharger. You'll see a small plug (1/4" NPT if you know your plumbing sizes) out of the nose cone assembly. You don't want it hot, but make sure it'* warm.
Put a Jack under the Front A-arm or sub-frame on the driver'* side and raise it. This will force the oil towards the pulley end of the nose cone and make it easier to suck out.
Get a large syringe from your local drug dealer or farm/feed supply, and some 1/4" tubing from the auto parts store. A foot will do. Press the tubing onto the end of the syringe, and use that to suction it out through the fill hole. Refill it with a clean syringe and tubing, not a funnel, cuz you have to see when the oil reaches the bottom edge of the threads. The last time you fill it, let it off the jack (level car) before filling it.
Good luck! You just bought some peace of mind.

thanks will. no problem getting syringe since i AM the local drug dealer !! just kiddin. sounds easy enough. its a 96 by the way. jim
