I am usually the one telling people that they shouldn't be messing around like that while driving when they end up in ditches. I don't usually do stupid (wreckless) things while driving because I know it is a stupid thing to do and that is how a lot of teenagers end up in accidents and even killed. I am over it, it just pissed me off for a little while that I was that stupid.

Glad to hear you're alright.
If it makes you feel any better, I was going down a very steep hill the other day at night, some snow had melted during the day but had frozen over the road at night... anyways going down the hill, hit the bottom... complete black ice... I was only going like 40km (steep hill, was 1/2 expecting ice), car kept going forward, there was a 90 degree turn at the bottom of the hill.... car started to turn, but my right tire went over the curb, got traction and then corrected myself... came back down off the curb and out of the ice.
Luckily no damage, didn't hit the curb too hard, and it was a low curb. Just glad I missed the trees and the drop on the other side of the curb... lets just say I wouldn't have been able to put 2 tires over the curb.
Sometimes it'* close calls like that, that make us wake up and realize what could have happened.

I couldn't count the number of times I have spun out over 30 years of driving.
How do you ever find the limits of your car unless you push it to the limit....and sometimes beyond.
Stabilitrack messes with my fun.
I haven't heard any stories of someone who has been saved by their Stabilitrack system.
My worst wipe out happened 20 years ago when I spun out on a sweeping bend doing 80 mph. Car hit the ditch, flipped on its roof and catapulted up into a big tree, hitting it sideways upsidedown 10 feet in the air. Pushed the passengers door all the way over to me and the bumper were a right angles to each other.
Now that'* stupid.

talk about stupid...me and my friends use to take our cars out in snow storms and ice storms to slide around and figure out how our cars handles. Many many nights in snow covered parking lots. Well all that did was make me cocky and drive in the snow whenever i chose because my lesabres traction was really good..easy on the gas and i was fine. however a few weeks ago i went out in 2 inches of snow and still fallin to pick my sister up from her friends house (should of jsut let her stay their) And on the way back about a mile from my house a 4x4 almost slides into the back of me but i managed to get out of the way, and about 1/2 mile from my house...a bronco comes down the steep slope doin about 35...i stopped the car to give him room to get off the hill since i was at the bottom..and the driver see'* me stop and goes faster...loses control and slides around the last turn into my lane and plows right into the car. Ide been in the snow so much and my car was so good in the snow that i forgot that theirs other people out their that dont know what the hell their doin and how to be carefull..not a mistake i'll likely make again.

People need to learn that snow and ice are dangerous, and they should not only prepare their cars for the winter, but also change their driving habits. I esp dislike 4x4 and SUVs, they think that snow and icey roads don't effect them. ... well some think like that.
