eh hem...as chris was saying.......in my opinion, the time and money could be thrown into making a 9 sec. car. that is what intense is doing. and they are blowing the front and rear-wheel drive crowd out of the water!

I fear you're getting over in your head. I think this is not a good idea. Like everyone else said, you have to have an buttload of money and superior mechincal/welding knowledge plus suspension/steering geometry. I would strongly suggest a Fiero with a L67 swap but if you want to go quicker, then replace said L67 with a LS1 on nitrous. It'll be a bit challenging but can be done easily than converting a FWD to RWD.
But if you must do something radical, I've seen early 90'* GP with a five speed. You could look for one and take out the tranny and custom make the Bonne into a five speed, now that would be unique and possibly faster due to the ability of you keeping hte car in its powerband.

Well, I'm gonna try it. I want to do something different, not what everybody else has. I want a 1-off car. And it will take a while, I'm not gonna try and do it all in a month.
