Iv'e been very busy the last few days with a funeral so I havent been back on here. The car seems to running better as time goes on.
I still will change the plug wires as soon as I get paid.

Also I have a couple more questions:
1. For the past 5 months when I start the car or when I put it in park and let it sit, it makes a sound like the muffler is clogged up. Its a muffle noise. I just read on line that someone else had the same problem and they took out the air cleaner and checked that and also took off the hose that lead from the air cleaner to the throttle body to check inside it to make sure nothing got sucked up into it. So I will check that tomorrow.

2. I have had a bad front drivers side strut that is out. Everytime I go over the speed bump slow where I live I can hear the strut clunking noise I guess I could call it. I got a price for two new struts with the spring and it was around $220.00. I called the junk yard here in town and he said he could see me one strut with the spring and top mount for $45.00. Has anyone ever bought a used strut from a junk yard and is it worth the money?

Don't base a suspension issue just by sound alone. Have the entire system checked out. A broken sway bar end link makes a clunking noise also.

And I wouldn't go with a junkyard strut. You might end up a bad part or it failing prematurely.

if it is the struts, i wouldnt take it to any one. its like brakes they overcharge by about 5 times for the little work it is.

if you want a quick strut.

i dont like quick struts, i get kyb gr2'* for my dd'* you have to use your spring and the top parts are extra but still only about 70 each and it feels better than oem and lasts 4-5 times as long.

I replaced the broken sway bar end link last summer..Thanks for the info about the strut from Amazon. Im gona go with two of those for the front end..Today Im gona go somewhere to get a new fuel filter, windshield washer pump motor, and I also am thinking on getting a new gas cap sence it takes alot of force to turn it to close after pumping gas..We have one nice day today before it gets down in the 50'* tomorrow so Im taking advantage of the weather to get this stuff done today...Would Advance Auto be ok to get the parts Ive just listed or Auto Zone?

I took my car to my other cousin and he put the car on the lift and the sway bar link were fine. So Im gona get the struts when i get some extra cash..He changed the gas filter which poured out black gas out of the filter. He then changed the windshield wiper pump motor so now I get to keep all the bugs off the windshield finally with using the wiper fluid. He took a look at the plug wires and first said they looked in good shape untill he started pulling off the plugs one by one, and when he got the last plug wire we discovered it was burned on the inside of the plug boot and it was brown coloring inside the boot. That spark plug looked fine still so we kept the same plugs in sence they were fairly new looking still. Then I went to the gas station to put gas in and it took alot of forse to get the gas cap off and when I went to put it back on the cap wouldnt make the clicking noise. So instead of going to the dealership and spending $35.00 to get a new gas cap I went back to Auto Zone where I bought that gas cap a while ago and they swaped me out for a new one and the new one went on and clicked perfect....I asked him about the muffled noise i was hearing and after I told him I had the cattalac convertor changed last year he said its a possibility so picses of the old convertor might of got blown into the muffler and thats where Im hearking the muffle and mostley the ratteling noise when I rev gine...
