the guy states in the auction it needs work.. he also states the car turns over but will not start so it might need the motor replaced or rebuilt...

its a 99 bonnie i think its a sle from the pic he shows..it has 112.584 miles and it looks sweet.... what should i bid at the most on this...

im definetly thinking its something simple like a bad coil or ignition module or crank sensor..... pretty sure its something with spark....

what do you guys think?

It has some weird problems with stereo and seats as well. I wouldn't go over $300 for it unless you can take an actual look at it.

if it wont run and its got the original intake, it might just be toast. so i'd check on that.

not really the 88 is running mint after some engine detail and attetion.. and the 95 i believe only needs a o2 sendor or a catco..

but i ask about that one for sale because its a 99sle as opposed to my 95se. and it has practicly the same millage.., what i would do is keep the 99sle for me and give the 95 se to my wife to drive and ill keep the 88sse with 78,000 miles in my garage and only take it out to shows and competitions.... i will be giving it a 2 tone paint job with airbrushing of my hometown,* skyline (new york city) on both sides of the car...$1200 paint job..

Yeah, with it being a Series II, I'd be wary of the no-start. Could be filled up to the crank in Dexcool....

The other interior issues do seem curious, but probably nothing a yard trip wouldn't cure.

I think I'd bid as if the engine is toast, and if it'* not, it'* a bonus to you. It does look nice though.

Here'* my take.

The engine could be toast. However IF it had the typical UIM failure it would be hydrolocked or pumping white smoke out the tail and running. The crankcase wouldn't be filled with coolant as no coolant goes into the oil in a normal UIM failure. If it'* a lower intake gasket.. the oil pan could be full.

There is no mention of coolant issues etc...merely a no start and that it cranks fine. The transmission is an unknown, do you believe it'* good or bad?

If you have a good running car for under $1500 you are doing well. Let'* analyze what I mean by that.
$500 for the car
$500 for a motor if bad
$500 for a trans if bad

Labor is all on your hands and wrenches. For $1500 that could be a good drive train IMO, but I get good prices on parts and labor is merely my time.

This vehicle is not far from where I work. One observation I saw was that it is parked by an auto repair shop. They must know whats wrong with it or they just don't want to deal with it. I was interested but too many questions and doubt based on the condition of the interior. Maybe a Carfax report would shed some light on it'* history.

WOW!!! $1125 with 7 hours left. Way too high in my opinion.
