Default Boohoo :(

I changed the rear brakes on my baby today and the drums are too out of round for me to put them back on properly. So looks like I'm walking to work tomorrow and then driving ever so carefully with only front brakes up to my buddies shop and making him machine my drums.

Finally doesn't snow or rain and I get this teen problem. Blah!

Should've replace them to begin with. They're not expensive.

I've gotta say, I've never had that problem with any of my cars.

Put your old pads & Drums back on, If you drive with the drums off you'll blow the seals on the wheel cylinders.

There'* nothing to keep your cylinders from spitting your pistons across the street...
Get new drum if they're that bad. It'* not like they're very expensive.

20 bucks for two brand spanking new drums. Now if the rain will ever stop I'll throw em on and get my baby back on the road.

I had to grind off the ear of the shoes where it fits into the adjuster at the bottom and the cylinder at the top when I changed the rear brakes on my buddy'* Beetle. The new drums wouldn't slide over the newshoes no matter what until I ground them down just enough to fit into the drum. Sometimes the friction material is thicker than OE and there is no other way.
