I did one on a 98SE for EK98 that was replaced in 2002 and it was about a week from failure when we pulled it.

The average L36 owner knows nothing about the UIM-LIM problem with the engine. But you guys......:? can ask for no sympathy when the coolant hits the piston and/or the oil pump.

On the other hand, maybe you all are just lucky and don't need to look both ways before crossing railroad tracks or be bothered to purchase health insurance.

X2 with what Will said. Its possible the gaskets were done and the orig intake was re-installed though. I wouldn't chance it
Only thing I need to do on the SE is the reduced dia EGR pipe next time I take it apart.
