i feel like it makes my car go slower, am i right?

It shouldnt make ur car any slower. What it does is cut power to the drive wheels when the tires are spining on hard acceleration or on ice, snow or mud. doesnt really do anything anyother time.it doesnt make u accelerate any slower or lower ur top speed.

Along with cutting power to your wheels the ABS kicks in to slow down the wheel spin. On normal it doesn't slow your car down but if your are at the track (and at the track only) Turning the TC off you can control the tire chirp a bit better and get in and out of wheel slip quicker.
