Default Paint quandry

The time has come to put a new shine on the i. I'm not a huge fan of green and would rather paint it black but here lies the problem:

Wether I paint it black or original green I still will be removing the doors, trunk, hood, fenders, bumpers and all of the trim and ground effects to achieve the best results. However, I certainly do not wish to remove the motor and everything in the engine compartment just to paint it a different color. This means that if I decide on black and the hood is opened, it'll be green in there.

I though of painting the unibody under the front fenders, header panel (raidator mount) and the top of the shock towers black. Kinda leaving a defined line between the new black and original green in the engine compartment.

How gay do you think that would look? If I provide a good picture of the underhood area, can it be Photoshopped in the above described manner to get an idea of what it may look like?

Paint it Black...

I've got two black cars.... hard as hell to keep clean... but are so worth it.
Just make sure you get someone good to paint it, because black is hard to get right.

Also, my 91 has the gold trim.... looks top knotch.... gold & black.... very nice combo.
