'00 SSEi vs. WRX
Not really a kill, but kinda. I don't know what year WRX, but it looked pretty new.
Anyways, we pull up to a red light behind this WRX and we are both in the left lane, and the right lane has a bunch of traffic in it. The WRX is the only car in front of us, and the road is clear ahead. Well the light turns green and the guy is accelerating really slow, and then taking FOREVER to shift, so we are staying right behind him because we are kind of in a hurry. Evidently the guy in the WRX didn't like this so he downshifted (i think he was in 3rd at this point & downshifted to 2nd) & punched it, and to his suprise there was an SSEi staying right behind him as my dad (driving the car) punched the gas also. We stayed right behind him the whole time and we let off at 60, the speed limit was 45. The WRX stayed on the gas until what looked like about 80mph. We would've done the same, but this was right after the MSU football game got over, so there were cops everywhere.
I thought it was pretty funny, the guy seemed quite suprised. We weren't looking for a race, we were just in a bit of a hurry. It is a shame we weren't in the GTP though, because we would've made a complete fool of the guy.

Nice! I did the same thing to an old muscle car (not sure what it was, it was dark out...but it was sweet) He was in front and floored it. I did the same and he never gained any ground. I was surprised I kept up with him. I wish you WERE in the GTP. I'd like to race one of those WRX'* some day. But I'll wait till I at least get an SSEi.

Great going, showing that WRX who'* close on their ***.....but not out in front of yet.
That base WRX, not the 300 hp STi version, will do the 1/8 in 9.1 sec and the 1/4 in 14.1 sec
It would take your GTP to beat it down for sure.

I play the "Suprise, I can keep up" game on curves on the highway. I guess people don't realize big cars can be manueverable (sp?) too, especially when they got 4 60'* grabbing the road.

Hehe, yeah i was surprised how agile this car is, i've only pushed the handling once, and that was an off ramp @ 70 (forgot to brake) it slid, and i said what the hell and drifted it out. You can keep up with a lot!
