Water Getting In Trunk
Noticed the carpet in the trunk is Wet and starting to smell like old musty water. It is only wet on the left side. Im wondering if it'* just the trunk seal or something else....

both of our cars had the rear wheel wells rot out on them. You should check those, it seems common for them to rot out for some reason and let water into the trunk. also take out your back seat and check to see if behind, or under the back seat is wet, ours were.

I did a quick check of the wheel well and didn't see any holes but noticed some of the well is plastic... maybe water getting in there. Climbing in the trunk, close the lid and throw the hose on it might show signs, providing the wife lets me back out!!!

Water in Trunk
Hi. I had a similar problem, too. It turned out the trunk lid was misaligned due to my friend slamming it closed when luggage was in the way.
My mechanic was able to adjust it. He put sheets of paper all around the seal, closed the lid, and when he could easily slide the paper out, he knew it needed adjusting to that area.
Hope this helps.

i wish i would of took pics of the process of finding the leak i started last summer and its still going on but i open the trunk one yesterday to see how full it is and as soon as i opened it a little bit tons of water from the tail lights spilled out and in to my trunk. i think the biggest thing that help keep the water down is drilling 2 small holes in the lowest point in the trunk, im not sure on bonnies but in my le sabre is that pinkish soft stuff in the middle of the trunk. jim
