The RAM Diesel for 2007 reportedly has a bigger 6.7L (up from 5.9L) engine, mostly to meet emissions, though (there is a power increase, too). It will be reportedly mated to a new Asian 7 speed auto rated for about 1000 lb-ft. of torque. (WOW) No Allison for the Dodge. Only Chevy/GMC will (err, do) have the Allsion 6-speed trans.
nope, ur wrong my friend. GM sold off allison since they have no money.

and it is a new cummins which is 6.7L with 325+hp and close to 700lb ft.

Obviously it worked for the "uneducated" didn't it? hmmmmm, interesting thought. They seem to sell more trucks now. And everyone knows because it says HEMI doesn't mean "HEMI" heads, they are pentroof design which is close enough. I for one am not uneducated, I know quite a few people who work for Chrysler plants, and also myself work at a Dodge dealership. As far as the launch goes, obviously a good one is going to be needed, I only said he beat me through first gear, by 75 I had him and was starting to overtake him. I have a 3.4" pulley, colder plugs, intake, and exhaust work done, and if a 4000 some pound truck can keep up with me, I have to give it credit, like it or not. I am in no way saying they are super fast, but they are quick. Not trying to start any arguements here, just stating my point. I would buy a HEMI ram over any car any day, and as a matter of fact have been looking for one about the past two months because three of my family members have 1500 HEMI Rams and have had no problems whatsoever and my Bonneville on the other hand.........worst car I have ever owned for repairs and costs, and its stuff on a car that shouldn't even break......EVER! Its unfortunate, because this is a nice car when it runs!

I ment Aisin, I can never get that company'* name right.

But, here'* the transmission. http://www.aisin.com/product/auto/drive/index.html
Maybe a six speed, but definatly not an Allison.

A forum. Go a little past half way.
http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fu...4.cfm#17756744
Some are saying 7 speeds, but at least 6. We'll see in 2007.

Show me a news story where GM sold Allsion. They sold EMD, not Allison. Who bought Allsion? Dodge.

Why is Allison still listed on GM'* website? http://www.gm.com/
Go under the drop-down menu, Allison is listed.

Trust me, GM'* not going to sell Allison.

I know it'* off topic, I just hate it when people get facts wrong and state them as fact, not rumor.

Default well said

well said willwren hemi is a word that uneducated morons know as a good motor. the word hemi, and good in the same phrase is a total and absolute oxymoron. that is not even a real hemi in the new dodges if you know anything about hemi'*. and a hemi has always been and always will be a giant iron boat anchor. I am the biggest hemi hater there is. Even dodge themselves have proven that a tiny small block can chew all day on that oversized turd. And where the hell is your Pontiac Pride. No direct hit against you just kidin. But my direct hit is against the word hemi, and all the uneducated people behind it.
