I HATE PEPBOYS!
Ok, so I go to Pepboy'* to get me some AC Delco spark plugs. I ask, "Are these copper or platinum?" The guy replies, "Copper, do you want platinum?" I say, "NO, I want copper." So he gives me 6 of them and I take them up to the register. "That'll be $44." "WHAT? Are you sure you scanned that right?" After a few minutes and a few other employees get involved they conclude that is indeed $7 per plug. I accepted figuring I'd rather stay with AC Delco and switch out my fouled Motorcrafts. On the way home it kept bugging me, how in the hell could regular copper spark plugs cost that much?! I get home and take a look at the box... IRIDIUM! THEY ******* GAVE ME $7 PER PLUG IRIDIUM WHEN I SPECIFICALLY SAIDCOPPER! I can't go back now cause they're closed but tommorow I am going back, returning them, and driving the extra few miles to Autozone (Only other place near here that carries AC Delco) and I am never going to Pepboy'* again, they have fucked **** up and pissed me off for the last time!

LOL! Sorry to hear you had a IDIOT to deal with at Pepboys. I am with JAck on this one. When I didnt work at Autozone I used to do all kinds of research on parts and part numbers BEFORE I ever stepped foot into the local autoparts store. You can solve the problem of an idiot behind the counter by making yourself smart before you go there. Just a tip maybe you can continue shopping at the closer store.

Whenever possible double check them.. I usually pull a plug out of the box at the counter and take a look. Might even be the wrong plug in the right box.
Also bring the old parts to match up. A few wrong parts will get you in the habit quick.

i dont see that as a reason to hate them, he just made a mistake, sometimes i think parts guys do it on purpose... how many times have you gotten a wrong part?

NERV, Lesson learned, if in doubt at a sales counter like that, open the boxes right there & check for yourself. I'm not trying to minimize the parts guy mistake by any means.
