Default Dexron VI (not IV, sorry, I goofed) ALSO UPDATED INFO!

Just ordered it from gmpartsdirect. Anyone hear anything about the new standard? How much better is it supposed to be than Dex III?

yeah, I changed the fluid when I bought the car. I always do. I was doing some searched on sythentic motor oil and came across that GM Upgraded thier standard to Dexron IV, so I ordered some. I figured one more change can't hurt, plus if this stuff is better, it will be worth my agrivation.

Yeah funny you mention the little fill hole. when I bought the car I searched for 30 mins for the "dip stick" then got P%ssed off and bought a repair manual and found the hole.

Somehow this makes me think of the hype about Dexcool.

Anyone know if they changed the compostition of anything in the trans besides the fluid?

I had a friend ask me where it was... I told him you have no dip stick on this car... Just a plug...LMAO
May not be one in the engine bay, but in the driver'* seat...... ???????
