88-94 have a different climate control system that won't let you change the modes. The only thing you can do is force the different modes by changing the temperature.

Interesting...
I have a 2000 Gran Prix GTP with Electronic Climate Control, and it has a "mode" button to allow changes to the blower direction.
Just bought the daughters a 1993 Bonnie SSEi, and was AMAZED to NOT find the mode button. Pored over the owner'* manual and looked and looked at the dash, seeking that same mode button, with (obviously) no success.
Thanks for posting this, as I was going crazy and feeling particulaly stupid. Glad to know it was the deisgners of this ECC and not ME!
I will inform the girls to simply run the temp up to high until their faces are roasting, and then bring it down.

I can tell the ECC where to blow, but it goes into a "manual" mode, and looses all automation. Personally, I don't think you need it, but I guess everyone wants something different from the next person.
