Default Is the SSEI really worth it ??

All,

I have a 2003 SE. I am upset with myself for not purchasing an SLE at least as I miss the nice options. IE: dual climate, radio controls, sunroof etc.

I drive the car ALOT and love the way it runs. My wife (cause when you're married everything must go through your wife ) says I can buy whatever car I want so long as the payment doesn't change. I have had the SE since December and have put 10k on it already.

My question is ...... IS the SSEI really worth it ?? for the price of gas, almost 3.00 here for regular and the SSEI needing premium is it really worth the supercharger ? Is it that much more fun to drive, is it that much more comfortable, etc.

Please let me know as I have found an 01 with 54k that I might be able to pick up for the same payment as the SE * I bought the SE cheap *

I appreciate everyone'* opinion.

its not only the Motor that is different....there is much other things

Magnasteer
Stabilirtak
FE2 suspension
12 way Power Seats
HUD
the DIC
Bose

as you can see its Not just the SC that makes the car

if you can keep the payments the same....get the Ei

I just bought my 01 SSEi last month, and have had no complaints. It is getting roughly the same mileage as my old car, 98 Ford Taurus. It rides nice, all the features. Nothing like having the ladies talk to you. (Might be bad for you with the wife and all. ) Gas is high no matter what, with the premium at about $.20 more. Look at it this way, you are spending about $3.50 more per tank. You can buy gas, or some value meal at McDonalds. Trust me, you will appreciate the car more than the burger and fries.

Looks like it'* 9-0 for the Ei right now. I went from a 1994 L27 to a 2002 L67 SC and it made me giggle like a little girl.

You didn't have my vote up there: Sell the SE and buy an SLE. I wanted an SSEI, not only for the performance, but also for the fact it doesn't have the plastic intake. But the more I thought about it, the added power just wasn't worth the added expense of slightly lower gas mileage as well as more expensive gas. I think I calculated that it would cost me like $6-800 a year more since I drive about 16,000 miles a year. I can afford that, but I decided that at this point with a young family that I would settle with the SLE. I'm not going to be racing anyone on the streets, so there are no regrets for me, well not often anyway

Get the SSEi - and get a warranty if you can. There is nothing like driving the SSEi, except maybe the GXP. AND, I just fixed a problem with my SSEi - bad vac lines - and I now get 32.5 miles to a gallon in real world driving. It kicks...

Good luck!
