Default Seat Configuration

I am assuming any 96'-99' seats can fit in my car (97). But can seats from a 92-95 era also fit?

Thats cool they are the same seats. What about electronics? If I take seats out of a SSEi and put them into my SE which also has power controls, but on the side of the seat instead in the center console. Will the controls still work?

The AL7 seats get power in the same place the driver only gets power. Splice the AL7 power wires in. You may want to leave your old power connector under the carpet, But I didn't.

(AL7 == 400 way seats)

All 92-95 cars have the same wiring, and all wiring installed in them. I don't know about your 97 though, but i'm assuming they kept doing this to cut down on tooling/etc. If you get a billion way sse seats, you NEED the controller from them. It'll fit right into the console (if you have it). If you don't, i'm sure you'll figure something out.

Is it possible to mount a electronic passenger seat, in the place of a regular manual passenger seat? Seems like there would have to be some serious wiring going on for that to happen though.

There'* about 20 wires to the passenger seat. They all come from the drivers' seat or the switch pod and run under the carpet.

Dude. I put AL7, the highest level of seat in my car. Take out every wire that touches the seats in complete, You only need to cut the power wires.

FYI, there is a dual bucket option with seat mounted controls. Not common, but Bonnevilles DID get them.
