the GXP has the 3.71 gears, the SSEi has the 2.97 or 2.93 depending on what year SSEi your are talking about

So what would make 3.71 better? is it just mumbo jumbo?
the 3.71 makes the car FAST off the line, thus enabling the N* to get into its powerband faster

Yet, it still takes a while to catch the SSEi. Stock for Stock the SSEi will walk on the GXP, but up near the triple digits the GXP'* extra cams, rockers, and cylinders will allow it to overtake the SSEi.

sniff, sniff, sniff Smells like bullshit to me! @ a twenty mile an hour start, Stock For Stock setup the SSEI is only gonna see my tire smoke. In a guater mile the SSEI would barely win. Just the opinion of a life long street racer.Three digits? What color is the sky in your world. Give me three lengths and bring your title.ROFL.... well back to diggin info cause this Bonnie gonna fly.

Ya the detuned the LD8 somewhat so it lacks a little in low end torque but it is a very refined motor and I'll tell ya after the middle of first gear the 3oo lbs of torque make it go thru the next three gears pretty dam well. If it were a 300hp/300torque the SSEI woudnt even be in issue....IT BE SITTIN IN MY YARD

hey P>GXP Check out this site lots of N* eye candy, some specs., but little helphttp://www.chrfab.com/ peace
