Ok I'm confused LOL I love my car but after dealing with 19 Fox bodied (1979-1993) Mustangs since 1985 my brain is shot for anything else. Im shocked how well these big cars handle but I still want to improve it. I need to sort out what the previous owner did to this poor car then I intend on swapping in some more performance. I will post those issues in the correct forum. I looked at the websites listed above and came out with these questions.

96 Bonnevilles are considered what "body" by GM?
How many parts are shared with the GP as far as engine, exhaust, brakes and suspension.

Thanks
Dean

You should have a H body. Many, but not all parts will fit. What kind of parts are you thinking about changing? You have the non supercharged engine right? You can still do a lot with that. PEMs, or headers, rockers, tuned PCM, FWI or CAI . Give us an idea and we can give you a direction to go.

yeah the websites you gave me worked for like the pcm modules, but do you know where i could get performance exhaust like borla. but that is already premade so all i have todo is just hook it up and go. i read on the other post that the grandprix (GP) shares the same exhaust i think. but if you culd get back to me that would be great.
thanks a ton!!

oh yeah is the grandprix basically the same car(frame and everything else.......... except for body and duh interior?) so if you wanted you could take a bonneville body and put it on a grand prix frame and set up? so instead of searching for parts for a 1997 bonneville i should just put in 1997 grand prix instead?
thanks again!!!

Here they have 2 packages, but you would need to Email them to find out if it will fit a Bonneville, I'm thinking it may not fit, but there'* no harm in asking.

That I don't know for sure. The body is different, obviosly. Many, but not all engine parts are the same. There are a few differences because the bodies are different and that effects the clearence.

ok ill just go to the dealer and ask and see if i can just do that (see if the 97 grand prix exhaust is the same as the 97 exhaust) but it probably isnt the same like as you said because of clearances because of the different bodies. oh well.
do you know if their are any chips that you plug in to the computer port under the dash( like those bullydog things for trucks)
idk if their are any. but would my best bet be those pcm modules? even though i dont want to do that.
thanks
Bret
