Default Carpet Ideas....

I've got my trunk lid carpet, but no clips, so before I put it on, i woudn't mind modding it. Or atleast painting it?

Think it'd be easy to have it embroidered? I dunno how much that'd cost though.... And it'd have to go over the bumps too.

Hmm...I've seen embroidery on some pretty thick canvas materials, but I'm not sure how that would work on carpet. I think there would be some expense involved...since they have to set up the machines which there usually is a set price for this. Then you have the fact you might not be able to do much customizing, you may have to just look at what they have as kinda "standard" fonts/graphics and what not. Just some thoughts...

I stenciled mine using fabric paint and a thin brush from a hobby shop. It was easy but you need to be patient and let the carpet draw the paint, that way you can keep a sharp edge.
Embrodiary would be cool but the backing is perty stiff I'm sure the bumps and ridges will help either. What about those Iron on embroidered patches?

Embroidery may be expensive. :? I'd paint it, but thats just me. I've already made some custom floor mats with a stencil I made and it was just as effective as embroidery, and it was of course alot cheaper and pretty easy.

Plus wouldnt the embroidery have to be on a flat surface only. I would go with painting it.

I did the same type of thing Dad did on my hood insulator. Masked it, then spray painted it. Have you considered the iron-on inkjet Tshirt transfers? You could cut out your letters/patterns, and iron them on?

Jason, what do you want to put on it? Maybe we could do it in March.

There are two spots that would fit the JL logo perfect down the middle, either that, or the Pontiac dart, and pontiac/pontiac racing.....
