One of my best friends has a little brick. (940t Volvo) He is always bosting about how fast his car is. So I decided to put him to the test against my 93 N/A. Off of the line I wasted him. As soon as I shifted to second, the gap closed because his turbo kicked in. He did beat me, but barely, about half a cars length. He was talking sh#t to me all week at school. It pissed me off so I went out and made myself an intake to get rid of that crappy stock one. I raced him again and smoked him. Then the ***** went out and copied my intake and we raced again. This time he brake torqued it and beat me(I don't like brake torquing cause of my high mileage, but i will if i have to ). Our two cars are really closley matched and i need something to put me over the edge against him. Any Ideas?

Easy. Intake is done. Do the 180° Thermostat, and open up your exhaust a bit. Then chip it. He'll be hard pressed to mod that one back! Chipping the Volvo is a VERY expensive option, and the chip in your car will make a PROFOUND difference.

Our Bonnies are great cars, but with a little bit of minor mods, WATCH OUT for those Turbo Sweed'*. We have owned 3-4 Turbocharged Volvo'* over the past 10 years, and are now on our second Saab 9-3 Turbo Convertible ('00). The only one we really modded was my brothers Volvo (1993 940 SE Turbo) a couple years ago, and I must honestly say that'* gotta be right up there on the list of quickest cars I've ever driven / been in. We did a CAI, Exhaust, High-Performance Blow-Off Valve, Saab Turbo APC Unit (Turbo Controller), beefed up the intercooler ducting, and turned up the turbo quite a bit (almost to max). The car didnt last long, and we actually sold it just before the motor went, but while he had it, that thing SCREAMED!!

Anyways, as long as he doesnt visit Http://www.ipdusa.com and get any tips and crazy ideas, you should be ok, but if he does, be prepared to mod mod mod to try to keep up
