NO, not another thing......
I opened my hood this morning when warming up and as I put my ear to the alternator (being careful to not get it caught in my serp. belt) I heard a subtle 'rattling' noise. It'* noticeable when standing in front of the car with the hood up, but I didn't know what it was until I listened to the alt. Then after it was warmed up and I drove to the store, I listened to it again and it was making a high 'whistling' noise this time, on and off. I'd assume the rattling is the bearings going bad (like I need another problem).
What are other people'* opinions? It may have been making this noise for a while but I never noticed it as clearly. And my DIC/ compass... had been flickering within the past week, if that has anything to do with an alternator on it'* way out the door.
I hope it'* fine. Don't want it to die in the middle of the QEW But replacing it seems easy enough to do it myself in a short time....

Don't tell me that..
Did yours die while driving? How bad was your whistling noise? Mine is very subtle. Can't hear it until I put my ear right up to it.
Hope it'* nothing... :?

Once you learn how to change belts, then you've got the most difficult part mastered for replacing the alternator.

I think it was 250? Don't quote me on that, not sure and too lazy to open another window to look at it for ya!
For the belt tensioner make sure you have a small pipe! Right Jason?
