Smile Gotta couple questions about the Bonneville

Hey guys! So yeah some of you know that I'm so called "in charge" of finding mod ideas and such for my bfs 02 Bonn SE. Well I was brainstorming a bit today and I ran into a couple questions (I'm sure I'll have more in a couple days lol).

1. Are there any good mod sites for Bonns? I know sites like ZZP performance and 3800performance.com but are there any other ones I should know about?
2. I know Monte Carlos aren't very affected by these but do performance chips work on Bonnevilles?
3. What is probably the best sounding exhuast system to put on a Bonn? Magnaflow is the best sounding for a Monte Carlo so I wasn't sure if you guys thought the same for Bonns.

Thanks for any help like I said, I'm 100% positive that I'll have more questions to ask soon but for now this is all. Thanks again

Well Intense racing is pretty good, A good street tune with HPTuners is always the way to go, but an off the shelf Tune is most time better than nothing, and I love the sound of out SSEi and it has a perf downpipe and stock mufflers

1) those are my 2 favorites
2) are you talking about the $10 Ebay ones? or a new PCM?
3) Magnaflow sounds pretty good, some people prefer flowmaster because it is a little quiter but not as deep sounding, I am looking to put some Borla mufflers on mine, IMO they have good sound

Gotcha. Well would a SSEi and a SE sound the same? I guess the same kind of 3' downpipe that fits on my car would fit on a Bonn right?

Well there is no add-in chip, the ones off Ebay don't work, I got one just to say they don't. If you mod the car then a new PCM (powertrain control module, maybe you've heard ECU) will help out because all the settings are tuned for your setup

The motor is the same size so sound will be similar, but it will need to be a Bonneville downpipe, they are different, and a "Chip" will not make power, and can cause damage, but a tuned PCM will improve overall vehicle performance.

Be careful, 99.9% of performance chips you will find are scams. Actually, as far as I know there are no performance "chips" for our engine unless you count the race pellet?

As far as performance sites go, the two you listed are the ones I most commonly use. There is also intense racing, w-body store, prj performance, and some other sites depending on what you are looking for. Your problem will likely be the same as mine. A lot of parts are made for the grand prix or other models. Some work, some do not, some need a couple modifications. I'm not very familiar with the layout of the engine in your car, but someone should be able to help you decide what parts will work.

I'm still figuring out the exhaust on my car... lol
