Default SCARY CRAP(PLEASE READ AND HELP)

I just got home from a scary ride on the highway. I live in MS and there is almost no traffic today. I had to go on a little trip today and this dude in a 92 Nissan 240 sx started chasing me and running me off the road. he also started flipping me off and trying to get me to pull over and i wouldnt. I sped up to 107 MPH to get away from him. this chase lasted for 20 miles. I would stop, and he would to. Scared the crap out of me, and mom who was with me. We called 911 and filed a report and as soon as they catch him, he is going to jail because we pressed charges. Now to the bad part. My car started blowing blue smoke and then when i pulled over, it just quit. My uncle says it is the timing chain because my aunts buick lesabre did the same thing. It will kinda turn over. My alternator also just quit so my car is deader than a door nail and it is now on the charger to see if it is fried. Does anyone know if there could be something else to look at. I dont want my engine to be blown. I want it to just be the chain. My oil pressure went from 60 to 40 to 20 and almost to the red before i shut off the car. My uncle said that when we get it charged that we should be able to tell. the engine has 170XXX miles on it and it is probably due for a timing chain!!!!! PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!

My car doesn't have that much miles more than your car, and the timing chain isn't something that needs to be touched... :?

Blue smoke means burning oil, does that have anything to do with the timing chain?

Glad to hear you're alright, mate... you think the guy had a bit too much to drink or something? Got his plates?

glad you're ok, but... It'* going to be extremely difficult -- if not impossible -- to prove that he is the reason your car is no longer running correctly. and if you dont mind me asking, what charges did you go with?

actually, my car is no longer running. My engine is seized. It ran fine before hand, and never gave me one bit of trouble from the day i bought it. I always kept the oil changed and i have receipts. I have always kept up with maintenence and my oil pressure always stayed at 60 psi. It wasnt until after traveling at 107 to stay alive that my car just quit!! It was running, and now it isnt!!!!!! That is why we are going to try to make this guy fix my car.!!! People who do this should not be allowed to get away with this crap. Just imagine how many people let him get away with it. If i stilled lived in Chicago, i would be doing the same thing because people who drive like crap and do stuff like this do not deserve a driver'* license and i would not have been pushing my car so hard had it not been for him doing this to me. We also called 911 back while waiting for the tow t ruck and told them that the engine had just seized and we wanted that on the record also. My mom is a insurance agent for a major insurance companies and we filed a claim with comprehensive for malicious mischeif. It actually covers many things. After that, we the insurance company will get him and get my deductible back also. I just pray that all comes out in the wash. ALSO, IF I HAVENT STATED!!!! MMMMMEEEEERRRRRYYYYYY CCCCCHHHHHRRRRRIIIIIISSSSSSTTTTTTMMMMMAAAAASSSSSS! !!!!!!!! The Lord kept us safe todayfrom something that could have veen much worse!!! :( I miss my bonnie already. it will probably be a month or so before it is all good again. But, i will still be here because whether yall like it or not, you(every member here) are part of my family!!!!

I'd say you spun some Main Bearings especially since you said the oil pressure started dropping from 60psi to o psi. If this is the case your block and crank are toast. Try turning your motor over with the crank pulley by using a long ratchet. I'm glad you are ok, most high speed chases don't turn out so well, Thank your Bonnie for saving your *** and be thankful a motor is all you lost. Take care and Merry Christmas. Chris

there for since you have insurance its not your decison to sue him for the engine if they will cover it you can go after him for the dectable but personally a waste of time what is your dectable 100-500? from what i know agent just sell insurance the claim'* adjuster will take car of the rest and the insurance company'* attorney and so on and so forth
