Quick question?

Default Quick question?

Could an umplugged air flow sensor cause bad gas mileage? Remember when I posted about this thing eating alot. Well it has been doing much better. When I was under the hood today tinkering around I found that my air flow sensor was completely disconnected. It must have been left off after the last time I was messing with the air box. I think that was 3 weeks ago.

Did you notice a drop in gas mileage? I would assume bad air flow could be a factor in lousy mileage...plug it back in and see what happens

Yeah I had a post on it before. It dropped from getting 230 miles to half talk to 150 or so. Over the last two weeks it has been steadily rising back to where it was, I assume because the PCM was relearning somehow. I was clueless of why this car was eating so much. Now I think I know. SO this can make gas mileage drop like that?

The unplugged sensor should have given you an SES light. Is it still on?

I never got a SES when my IAT was out. I left it unplugged for a couple days. You'll get more air, and better temps. I assume the milage increasing is because of the PCM adjusting like you said.

Maybe it'* cause of how you drive it? I know all those mods mean a heavy foot.
