Hood'* been repainted. Chances are the car looked like ****, and the seller cleaned it up. I think I have seen that seller sell another red '88 SSE.. not sure however.

I started looking at the pics better, and that car is a POS. Not only does the hood not fit for ****, I don't know what is wrong with that hood. It is NOT original, that car looks like it was in a front end accident. That'* why the hood and grille do not align.
The rust on the C-Pillar is not normal. Obviously something is wrong there, to have a flawless paint job [or at least one that appears that way] and then rust on the C-Pillar. Not right there.
Then, there is the bent antenna. The Radio was not on in any of the pics, and I highly doubt that antenna functions properly. I betcha any money it'* stuck up.
Then there are the taillights.. that car does NOT deserve those beautiful tailights! I want those!
If you look at the interior pics.. there is something not right with the seats.. the holes do not look right, and the tan is too light [look at the steering wheel compared to the seats, my leather is that steering wheel colour].
The DIC and Compass don't work.. [hey, at least my DIC works ]. The Ignition cylinder was replaced with a cheap one [I know, i have the same one].
But, the steering column is black! What the hell?? Why is the steering column black? Obviously that was replaced, telling me the car was probably stolen [peeled column], meaning the car probably has been abused.
The ECC is at 75*, which is the default temp it refers to after the battery was removed [something doesn't seem right with that either].
Now, here'* a real stumper. Look at the pic of the I/P. Do you see how the tach is sitting at 1300rpm? Well, I can also see that the speedo is raised, and a faint little LED can be seen in the corner from the Head Unit [telling me the ignition is on], HOWEVER, the Volt meter and oil pressure gauges are at idle. The temp gauge is working.. you can see it is slightly passed the 100 mark.
So, this is a nice car, until you start analyzing it. There are many problems, and why aren't there any engine shots? Yeah, he'* hiding something, betcha if you ask him for some engine shots, they will either be clean enough to eat off of, or he'll say he can't take any pics, for x reason.

You have a problem with '89s? My car does not have that many problems. My antenna works, my DIC works, all my gauges work, my hood closes properly, and my car is rust free [on the exterior at least]. My taillights and paint both suck.. but that'* no biggie, because from a distance you can't tell, and at night the car is daymn sexy.

My car doesn't fast idle very high at all for some strange reason (don't know if you guys' cars do), it tends to be just off idle, I don't think that'* normal. But could this '89 just be cold. Look at the temp gauge, allll the way to the left
