Default Adding Heated Seats

Well the g/f has decided she doesn't like the weather now that winter is coming/here lol. Doesn't really bug me a whole lot... but I think this might be a cool, not extremely expensive project. I saw Bill pulled some 'butt warmers' from a 96 Cadillac Eldorado. Does GM use the same seat warmed in all of their vehicles... or do they differ? Are they just heated pads that are stitched onto the bottom of the seat? I don't have years of experience with a needle and thread (especially the thick stuff), but I was required to take a sewing class in 8th grade lol.

I'm really interested in doing this, so any input would be great. As of right now, I'm planning on redoing the intake/porting the LIM in mid december, assuming work is willing to cooperate and start giving me some hours. Only thing left needed is the APN upper kit, and coolant. Will also be picking up a bolt on magnaflow cat, and throwing on my flowmaster (not sure if I want to let the shop do that yet or not). This may or may not be added into the project.

Bill and Pat are crazy, freaky good with that cuttin' gluin' moldin' and painting. If you go the aftermarket route and want an easier switch set-up (but not as cool as theirs), this is how my switches are:

I think there is quite a few people on here that run the aftermarket variety of seat warmers and have had great success with them. The nice thing is, you dont have to find a car to un-install them from, however, used is probably a heck of a lot cheaper.
If I used my Bonny in the winter time, I certainly would be on the hunt for warmers.

Sweet thread, thanks.

Yeah... I don't care if it'* after market or not, but I want it to look as factory as possible, and work well. I'm not so great with the patience part of gluing, sewing, so on and so forth. I do like the idea of having it beneath the stereo. No cool Bose logo to highlight it though :( lol. Oh well... I'll be switching to infinitys asap anyway.

SSEi95 and I installed these 4 or 5 years ago. They work great:

Yup, In fact I have since moved them over to our Aurora that my wife drives and she has them on all the time. Still working strong after 4+ years.
