I'm not trying to make this sound like brain surgery and a free car is still a free car; I'm just saying that you want to CYA by doing the paperwork right, and then _keep_ the title, etc., for as long as the carcass is in your driveway. Unless you're going to bury the leftovers in your backyard, sooner or later you're going to need a junkyard to haul away the remains, and at that point you will need to sign its title over to them, and they'll take it along with the car. So definitely don't lose, shred or destroy any records connected to it: there'* nothing to gain by doing that.

I see what you're saying....I think the carass maybe going to OlBlueEyes once i get what I want/need.
