ABS codes cannot be read from the ALDL connector. You must connect to the EBCM (electronic brake control module) directly. This is a different connector, and requires yet another cable. The EBCM is located under the carpet on the firewall, to the right of the gas pedal, forward of the center console.

That'* exactly what I wanted to know Will, thanks. So I would need a 16 pin cable to connect under the dash, and another as you mentioned to read ABS codes. I wonder if these cables can be purchased on Ebay?
Thanks
Thanks

Called Mechanic Dan.. being that he was at the dealerships during all the Tech I vs Tech II years. He said that technically 95 is considered ALDL and not OBDII because of the protocol. The Tech I works on ALDL and would need the right cable to work on the 95.
In theory ...it should work with the right cable.
I stand corrected on the ABS... Willwren got me there... lol
Frank just give the tool to me

I doesn't belong to me, I've had it for about 6 months but was never able to use it cause I don't have the proper cable. When I offered to return it my friend said he wasn't in any hurry for it. I was thinking of purchasing it off of him, but didn't know what to offer since I didn't want to lowball and offend a friend.

Frank... Can you do me a favor? Snap a Pic of the Connection for the cable... Wonder if the Actron cables will work with it
And I have seen those go for as much as $500 Us on E-Bay with most of the cards and cables..

I saw this listing on Ebay and I can't believe what they're asking for it.

Sale price on this one seems more fair to me - especially considering the age of OBD1.

Man oh Man, $475.00 US. I still find that a lot of money for that scanner. That sure seems a lot for what that scanner can do. What am I missing here?
