hey guys, just got a probelm with the Grand prix. Alright i was going to back out of the walgreens parking space and i backed out to the left which seemed to be fine. Then as i went to pull back to the right to exit, the car WOULD NOT turn right. the steering was completely locked to go right. i thought that the car had died, so no power steering, i turned off the car (no stall scenario then), and restarted and tried the same procedure to no avail. But this time i realize its hard to turn it either way left or right. upon examining in the falling snow, i found there to be a black fluid dripping around where the lower control arm meets with the body about half way under the car. Does this seem to be a power steering fluid leak or faluire witht he pump. Please hlep as the car is needed ASAP. theres also the rainbow effect in the wet parking lot.
