Default Dyno'ed the 95 @ school the other day...NOW WITH DYNO GRAPHS

She put down more that I was expecting...
204.55 FWHP

The Dyno is made by Maxwell and we used the water brake to run my car as this dyno is more designed for driveability and emmisions testing. It'* built into the floor, which is pretty cool, and you just drive right onto it. I'll post the graph later. The guy from Maxwell came in the other day to check on the unit and that'* why I got to run my car (hey, free dyno runs, can't complain ). The otrque reading is WAY high due to some calibration in the program that the guy said he couldn't remember how to adjust it or whatever. Anyways, 204 is what I got, which is in the 250 crank horsepower area, which sounds about right. I wish I got a good torque number. I might have to take it to a real dyno shop somewhere this summer and see what I get. Here'* a pic of the dyno I took a while back, and the ugly uncool looking graphs will be later today when I back home.

EDIT:Here'* the crappy graphs. Nothing like a Dynojet but you get the idea. ot very good resolution on the bottom half of the graph. they put too much information on the same graph, oh well.

Since hp = torque * RPM/5252 and you got a high torque number those results might be a little off.

I calculated 287 TQ if I use the 3731 for the RPM. This number would sound about right if HP was 204. From CLUBGP I found some dyno reports that were in the same area (but they were stock of course, and us series one guys have to mod to get to that point. http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...de=&*=#1744064 One person put down almost exactly what I did in his GP, but his are stock numbers apparantly. I think the RPMs are off on my runs because he didn't have the rpms claibrated right. When it said 2 grand on the screen I was over that. That'* why the torque number came out so high. Should have been around 290 ft/lbs if HP was 205 for these cars.

He has a 2.4 and I have a 2.5, but I also have an exhaust. All other mods are 1:1.

I guess dyno'* have been know to be different from one to the next. I also couldn't get a torque number due to machine issues. I dud get a graph though and is showed a really nice flat HP line with power available early on in the RPM'*. I got my thread in the performance section.

I also ran my car when it was pretty cold. Basically right from the parking lot where it had been sitting all morning, right to the dyno. That might be it, who knows. I also had the huge fan moved closer to the airfilter and not directly in front of the radiator (still was there but moved over some). Dyno'* are different from one to the next, and elevation would play a part too from what I've heard. Not sure how much higher you are that where I am. The 2.4 does offer a slight edge over the 2.5 while things are running cool, but me not having an exhaust would play a role on the street for sure when things are warmed up a bit. I don't drive my car too hard on a daily basis anyways, so I don't even know if I want to invest any more money into it as far as mods. Next car IS going to be a 2000+ SSEi, which will see all the goodies, including rockers. Just gotta get out of school in Dec. and get a job so I can get me one. Hey anyone wanna buy a 95 SSEi in like 7 months?

Gordy, what is your intake setup? Don't see it in your sig.

Gotta show some pics of mine when it'* done (always a project still going on with me...ugh). I used the intake tubing from a Ford 4.6L SOHC engine (CV, Town Car, Grand Marq). Fits right in the TB on the L67, and curves nicely around with a flexible end. Did some cutting and minor fabbing to get it set up. Total cost was mostly air filter. Pipe was free, and I bought a rubber coupler at Home Depot for like 5 bucks. Epoxy'ed a couple things and away I went with my Autozone water-holding rice air filter for $25. Works fine for now. Still would like a K&N when funds and time become available.

My CAI was bought online, but turned out to be a really short tube which drew in hot air. I took the same setup and added the rice ppe to get it out to the corner and then made a double walled plexi box for it (kinda crude looking) to keep engine heat away. Due to "my project", I should have a bunch of new pice of my car up this weekend.

Your stock rated hp was 225, not 205.
