They went on to discuss the branded vs. off branded gasses. These same people said that there really isn't a difference. It'* all refined in the same place, using the same methods. So, your favorite brand of gas differs from another "off brand" just because of additives. Whether those work, its anyones guess. They also mentioned years ago one company (who'* name I have since forgotten...well known company, but it'* unimportant really) claimed their additives helped with MPG and what not but the EPA said that they couldn't make such claims because of lack of scientific evidence. Needless to say, they stopped making their claimes and haven't since started back up. Take it for what its worth....

I saw the same show and while I tend to agree with them I also know that some older stations that haven't redone their underground tanks are subject to get leaks and rust meaning watered down fuel and rust sediment. I think it is all a crap shoot anyway.

There is a gas station that always f*** up my car, I will get a SES light to come on after I fill up from there. I get the EGR bank 1 and Exhaust trim to lean codes. Any other station I dont get those codes. Its ridiculous.

All gas is provided from the same refineries. Perhaps the better stations get the fuel from the top of the truck and then they sell the stuff closer to the bottom of the tanker to the little crappy stations.
