On the way to the County Registrar to get my plate tabs, a Lincoln Continental LS V6 pulls up next to me. As we waited for the light to change he kept inching forward, I thought either he wants to race or he'* in a hurry but it was an older gentleman so I figured he was just in a hurry. The light turns green and to my surprise he lights his tires up, while speeding away he adjusts his rearview mirror and I notice he'* smiling. Ohhhhh I got frustrated. But the next set of lights goes red, ahhh time to show him up, this is my town and I know practically every light(this one has the 3 second delay between reds).
I look over and he'* still grinning like he just won the lottery. The cross traffic stops I look at their light and it changes to red, I mentally count off 1... 2... 3... and poof the light goes green. I got a great launch with just a little chirp from the tires. It was a good, close run, I pulled ahead from him with every shift. When I hit about 100 I let off so I could see his face, he was still grinning so I gave him a wave. I love a good run that leaves no one sour.
