I changed out the front side trans mount and the rear side mount looks bad too so going after it now. the engine mount pass side and the driver side of trany are difficult too see so since two need replacing I will pull those two and check them also, fixin one isn't fixin it I am finding on the PA. Break time is over back under and see what this is going to take.lol

This car has 175000, I just bought it an am gonna through it, as Im gonna keep it.lol Anyway found the front and back tranny mounts in the same broken down condition .Not as easy to replace as the front tranny mount this back one was a pain but doable. also found a torsion bar end spacer and bolt broken. didnt know a spacer could break into two pieces, these look cheap with a small bolt running thought it will fix that when the brake rotors show up in a couple days. So any way my two cents would be to replace both the front and back mounts if one is broke you will find the other is also gone.

ahh still shaking,,this is nuts, the motor mounts on the sides at the frame look a little dried out inside when you look in from under it,there is 1 on each side..are they hard to change?

to make sure which mounts we are talkin about. I was able to find the front transmission mount is behind radiator and the rear is behind it at the fire wall. the engine mount is on passenger side an another transmission mount on drivers side. The two trans mounts front of car and at the fire wall are the two that will be damaged the most and they are the only ones I could find new. I was trying to get the other two but wasn't having any success was told I needed to get them from a junker. Now the front was easy the rear one is a pain but doable. you have to unbolt a couple items to get them out of your way to slide the rubber bushing out and get the new one in, soaped mine up an pried it in. not a lot of room. now when I was under there i found the torson bar end bolts were broken, replaced those I also did air shocks, brake rotors an pads found one caliper froze up some was able to get it loosened up will replace both rears have to lower the gas tank so may find more in the back yet .lol now up front I found one front bearing assembly with just a slight wiggle so both fronts need to be replaced, an might as well do the constant viscosity joints while I have it apart.lol ball joints seem okay on here I think they may have been replaced tring to tighten up the steering. bushings on the a frames checking an cracking still holding on but I will replace all the bushings before winter is over.lol I have a body in excellent shape high miles so things need replacing to get the car back to near new, it drives and rides great Not sure if spending hrs working on the headlight lens did it or maybe some of the replacement parts might of helped. vendo good luck figuring out just what is shaking you around, if it moves replace it just make sure you have the right part in your hand before tearing it apart some things are hard to find. ive been waiting two weeks now for usps to deliver some parts to me,they should of been here last week glad Im waiting for them to show up before taking it apart. It can wait now till I get back from a little test drive to the southern end of I-25.lol I'll be looking for an engine /tranny to rebuild while I use the last of this one up.its running strong at the moment. be lookin at mods when I rebuild them. must be lots I can do.lol

I changed the front one behind rad,I did brakes and noticed the rubber mount right there on the frame,so the pass side is the front...drivers side is the back and there should be one under the firewall,I tried to change the front sway bar and could not get the old one out...there is a little wiggle in the front end, very slight, the shaking is right under my seat.I tied the exhaust so it didnt shake, the rubbers seem weak holding it up..wonder about that too..al

The one by fire wall will be as bad as the one u replaced up front,it is buried in there the steering ram, like i said names are in there but be danged if i can get them out.lol any way this ram needs to be unbolted to frame, wheels have to be hanging because you will have to push this up an out of the way to get the rubber mount in an out of the bracket with out pulling bracket all the way off an out. when moving this steering ram the wheels will have to toe in or out for the ram to move., if i remember there is three bolts from the top that get removed everything else from under side, a pair of star bolt is under there an one will have to be removed to slide rubber grommet in an out, thinkin it is a star shaped torax is that the rite name?im thinkin size 40? but it has been more then an hr.lol anyway u want to make sure u have the rite one.it did take me a couple hrs crawlin in out gettin rite wrenches lol tight limited room I like them rachet wrenches lets see i think the bracket on the tranny an it may be the three bolts from the top needs to be removed bracket on car doesnt need total removal couldnt get mine out anyway.lol tight area. the rubber bushing with torex screw removed will slide out pretty sure it was the drivers side i slid it out.
while your down there shake everything an see if anything else is loose broken or just plain ugly.
A slight wiggle magnifies itself into shimmies an shakes. front axles shouldn't have any wiggle that you can tell by hand moving, factory set all in one unit .
have fun, Im heading south to get warm fer a few days will check this next week.
exhaust should hang from rubber an not touch anything else.back tranny mount it will feel like some thing is loose, noticable when goin over dips and bumps. chances are your sway bar is good it is the end bolts with the spacers that break, sorry can"t always remember part names but auto zones carry them
