oh great....and I just got my new car with a Fram oil filter :? oh well...I suppose it'* not going to hurt it too badly till the next change..

Ya your fram should be fine. I would recommend using a fine quality filter if the oil hasnt been changed in a while or you are running some sort of engine cleaner that is designed to stay in.

From reading and researching, it seems that the NAPA Gold is a good filter. Dunno how much it is. Aparently the NAPA Silver is pretty much the same as the Gold one, but I am gonna return my Fram filter and get a NAPA Gold one.
