IDDV was outstanding!
It was a total success and a blast to attend. 2 hotels full of GP'*, Bonnies, Impalas, and other 3800'*. Thursday night we had the entire parking lot in the hotel filled with cars, guys, gals, and trash cans full of empty bottles and cans. I have a ton of pictures to put up when i get a chance. As for the actual event, INTENSE did a great job with getting everyone setup and running and cars were doing runs by 9 am. Never having been to a track before I watched for about an hour or so just to get the whole sequence down and then started the ole' 8ball up and got in line.
My first 5 passes or so sucked pretty bad. I just couldnt get any traction. My 60'* were horrid (2.7, 2.8, 2.9 etc...). I was a bit nervous, and i think I was just preoccupied with trying to get everything right, (2nd gear, rev to 2K, try to get the reaction time, etc..) and I just wasnt get good times. i think my best at that point was a 15.3 or something equally dreadful.
Well, then I decided that i just wasnt going to keep up with all these GP'* and was just going to have fun. After the bracket race they were just doing time runs and I just went out, put in some tunes, left it in D and just took it easy. My 60'* started dropping big time and my last few runs I was down to 2.1 60'*. Ended up with a PB of 14.4 @ 97.55 with a 2.2 60'. I know the car is faster, I just couldnt get the power to the ground. The track was prepped very well, but the combination of stock Eagles, inexperiance, and nerves kept me from seeing what the car could really do. Things may have been different if there was more time to run. I really feel like this is a very low 14 car. I may have to look at an LSD before my next run out
Video of my 2nd best run (Kendra missed my best run)

Here are the slips for my 2 best runs: I'm 229

Here is the Turbo cars best run....ever.... Whats interesting to note here, is that on Scott'* burnout he broke the accessory belt so this run was no water pump and no alternator....700 HP on a 12 volt battery

Thanks for the honest update, I know last year when Pmom and I started racing it was very nerve racking. I have a good reaction time but pmom was faster due to traction problems and her easying into it against my hammering it down. Traction is tough with fwd and a high torque L67 motor.

I took Kendra down with on my last run (14.7) and she liked it so much she went down by herself and pulled a 14.9. Took me 6 hours to get it down and she breaks 15 in 1 run I'm proud of her and the car.
