I think all these new "G" names r really dumb same thing with Buicks Lucerne and lacross, Id rather have the traditional names such as Bonneville, Grand Am, Grand Prix, Lesabre, Century, and Regal.

im a big fan of discontinuing the grand prix namebadge.

the G8 is a completely different car from both the grand prix and the bonneville - it needs a new name.

sad to see bonneville and gp die, but its survival of the fittest for bonneville and gp lost its base - FWD. a rear wheel drive GP would be as big a mistake as a Bonneville completely lacking 3800.

holding onto bonneville and gp namebadge after they lost their bases would just be a vain attempt to hold onto a fan base that wouldnt be so easily fooled.

Good move by GM to not hold onto a namebadge just to try to keep fans.
