Wow! I think they hit 6200 rpm on the second pull to boot!
Suddenly, with that engine, you will need to overhaul the entire drivetrain as well, unless u want to hear break, snap, & bend.

those engines are serious, i have seen a couple on thirdgen using 4.3'* in fbodies even. sounds like a GN though, no mistaking that for a sleeper

I'd be happy with just a marine intake on it. Injector upgrades are possible then. More power baby! Wish they made marine intakes for the Vortec 350'*.

Wight estimates are off. A Small Block 1/2 ton 2wd is 5,200 pounds or less.

My 4WD 6.2L Diesel Suburban was 6,600 pounds.

As for going 12'* with a 73-79 Small block chevy truck, I have drove 2. One a built 350, the other a Built 383 (only GM part was the block). Both compete rust buckets.
