Default I need the bigger cup holders in my 2000 SSEi

I was wondering if anyone has swapped in a newer year shift lever bezel and cupholder set up. The little circles of the 2000 just dont hold my 1 gallon coffee cup, and we know where our importances line up ...

Look at the pics here:

3M body and trim tape holds them in high-G maneuvers with big gulps from 7-11. I did this to both my Bonnevilles. You can get these holders from anyplace. Even Target.

Please...don't put stock in redneck holders and 3M tape. I'm off to search out Harofreak00'* new console post.

Ah, there'* the link.

Maybe a swap like you are mentioning is in order. Apparently you got shorted on cupholder space.

My redneck holders are color-matched in each car, everyone LOVES them, and they were inexpensive. The tape has NEVER failed. And they've been in the SSEi for over 4 years now.

Default Yep...

That'* what I was after, but I was hoping I could find details of just swapping in the gear indicator panel and cup holders. I think for all intents and purposes, the only thing I would need to address would be the location of the trac control button. The newer gear shift indicator cover appears to be shortened (back to front) to accomodate the longer cup holder portion.

Thanks gang! --Mike

I copied WillWren'* "redneck" idea, and it works great. I didn't/haven't even glue them in. The only issue is when The Missus is with me, she invariably hooks her purse on the passenger side cup holder.
