anyone ever had there exhaust leak in the joint between the manifold and piping right under the firewall? it sounds likes mine is leaking, has been doing it about 2 weeks now

all i know is when i had it replaced they called it the flex and that was it ran me about $50 to get it replaced

where the rear manifold meats the downpipe theres a donut gasket in between there. Any parts store should know what your talking about. Its an easy fix, just remove the bolt/springs from both sides, take the old material off (if there is any, for some reason there was none on mine) put the new gasket on, tighten up the bolts and springs. Its always good to replace the spring and bolts, usually $20 for a new spring and bolt kit, and the donut is about $5-7

mine broke where the downpipe and the cat meet weird eh? i had a 4 inch piece welded in place the replace the weak section

I've got the exact same issue with my 93. Where were you guys 2 months ago when I posed this question?!?!? I'm going to buy that seal and new bolts right away. It'* getting louder by the day...
