I stated the reason in my post above.
The SLE package is very well known to us. It'* designated by RPO code H4U on your RPO label. It wasn't 'badged' until 1998 for the first time, but was first available in 1993.
Mine has badges because I added them, then customized them to show the engine I have, and to better match my SSEi:

The SLE badges in that pic are from the 98-02 SLE, and originally said SLE Bonneville, not SLE Supercharged.
