Default Engine swap ?

Will a 94 3.8 Bonneville engine fit into a 93 Grand Prix SE with the 3.1 engine in it?

Is it also the same trans?

What Kind of Headaches could I expect?

Thanks

Tom

The Boat is right. The 94 was purely OBD1, with the 16-pin ALDL.

Um, pardon my ignorance, but why can't I hook up my 'Wal-Mart special' code reader into the connector under the dash. The connector in this car (1994 SLE) is totally different from my 1992 and the 1993 SSE parts cars.
I thought this was OBDII!?!!?? I was going to go buy the $53 GM scantool @ NAPA, but now I wondering if it will work.
