When was the last time your brakes were done? I did mine last fall and had to replace the rotor due to warping. It was giving me a strange, squeaking noise unless I stepped on the brakes, also. Thought it would be a good place to start.

The noise stops when you hit the brakes? Most likely it'* the little squealer fingers on the front brake pads, telling you that it'* time to change the pads. I think there'* even a mention of this in the owner'* manual...

That'* true! Until the squealing goes into an unpleasant constant screech. That'* when the rivets impact the rotor. Then you'll really know that you need to do them.

P.*. After you get the brakes done, be _sure_ (positive -- absodubitively -- no doubtaboutit) that the wheel lug nuts are torqued in the _proper_ sequence to their _proper_ setting... which is, um... (thinking) 100 ft.lbs? Do not let some doofus slam them on with an impact wrench and walk away, or they'll warp pretty promptly and you'll be in here next week complaining about a weird shaking in the steering wheel when you step on the brakes.

If they know enough to use torque sticks on their impact wrenches, I'll give 'em half credit, but I always like to do the hand-torque process myself.
